UMBC's young alumni base is over 20,000 strong and growing. More than a third of UMBC’s nearly 60,000 alumni fall into the “young alumni” category, which includes
graduates from the last ten years.
The Chapter of Young Alumni was
created to help young alumni stay connected to UMBC through social events,
volunteer opportunities, career networking connections, meaningful philanthropy,
and more.
Past events have included group outings to shows at the Hippodrome, glass blowing demonstrations, indoor rock climbing, forming teams for the Polar Bear Plunge, days of service at local organizations like Moveable Feast, and more. You can get involved through attending these events or by checking out one of our meetings and maybe helping to plan some of them!
CYA's largest event each year is the Wine Tasting & Silent Auction, which raises money for student scholarships. This event typically occurs the last Friday in April and offers many additional opportunities to get involved. Learn more about the Wine Tasting & Silent Auction.
