Alumni Award Nomination Form

Each year, the UMBC Alumni Association Board of Directors honors a select group of alumni for their professional and personal achievements and service to the University.

Three types of awards are given: the Alumnus/Alumna of the Year Awards, the Distinguished Service Award, and the Rising Star Award. Review the criteria for each award.

The 2013 award winners will be honored at a special ceremony during UMBC’s Homecoming in October 2013. Learn more about previous award winners

Instructions

  • To nominate an alumna/us for one of these awards, please use this online form to provide a letter of recommendation. Please be sure to note the award category for your nominee.
  • Supplemental information (e.g., resume, curricula vitae, newspaper clippings) should be scanned and e-mailed to alum@umbc.edu.
  • Past recipients of Alumni of the Year awards and current members of the UMBC Alumni Association Board of Directors or the steering committees of the CYA, CBLA, or Meyerhoff chapters are not eligible for these awards.
  • Nominees not selected for 2013 will be reconsidered for two consecutive years. Each year, personal and professional information may be updated.
  • Submit completed application forms and supplementary materials no later than May 31, 2013. For more information, please contact the Office of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving, at alum@umbc.edu.
